Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board and Ministry of Law and Human Rights Online Systems Integration Strengthen the Ease of Doing Business in Indonesia

Jakarta, 15/05/2019 MoF - Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) synergizes with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to further facilitate business licenses in Indonesia. Both of them signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Business Licensing System Integration with the Immigration Management Information System for Investment Enhancement.

Quoted from the BKPM website, the memorandum of understanding was signed by BKPM's Investment Services Deputy Husen Maulana and the Immigration Director General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Ronny F. Sompie at the BKPM office, Jakarta (09/05).

"It is hoped that the government's online system will become stronger and more integrated, so that it can improve coordination between government agencies in order to improve the investment climate in Indonesia," Husen explained.

This Memorandum of Understanding covers five scope of cooperation, including Integration of Visa approval service system and Status Transfer; Integration of national passport recording inspection systems in the Immigration Management Information System (SIMKIM); Integration of investment principle license revocation system, investment registration, and business holding number; Provision of data communication networks; and increasing human resource capacity.

The business licensing system managed by BKPM includes Electronic Information Services and Investment Licensing Systems (SPIPISE) and Online Single Submission (OSS). SPIPISE is an electronic system of licensing and non-licensing services that is integrated between BKPM and government ministries / institutions that have licensing and non-licensing authority.
