June 2020 Exports Increased

Jakarta, 22/07/2020 Ministry of Finance - Statistics Indonesia (BPS) released Indonesia's export figures for June 2020 which reached US$12.03 billion, an increase of 15.09% compared to exports in May 2020. Likewise compared to June 2019 (year on year/yoy) increased 2.28%.

Non-oil and gas exports in June 2020 reached US$11.45 billion, increased 15.73% compared to May 2020. Likewise, compared to non-oil and gas exports in June 2019, it rose 3.63%.

Cumulatively, Indonesia's export value from January to June 2020 reached US$76.41 billion or decreased by 5.49% compared to the same period in 2019, likewise non-oil and gas exports reached US$72.43 billion or decreased by 3.60%.

The largest increase in non-oil and gas exports in June 2020 compared to May 2020 occurred for electrical machinery and equipment amounting to US$197.2 million (39.39%), while the largest decrease occurred in iron and steel amounting to US$142.6 million (16.74%).

By sector, non-oil and gas exports from the processing industry from January to June 2020 fell 0.41% compared to the same period in 2019, likewise exports of mining and other products fell by 20.71%, while exports of agricultural products rose 9.60%. (nr / ds)
