Minister of Finance Emphasized Transfer Management Functions to Regions at the Inauguration of Echelon II Directorate General of Fiscal Balance

Jakarta, 17/07/2020 MoF - One third of state expenditure is allocated for transfers to regions, so the role of the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK) to become an institution who is capable of using transfer funds as an instrument to transform local governments in order to serve the community is very important. In addition, transfers to regions can also make economic growth centers in the regions extremely important, which can have an impact on creating job opportunities and creating a good business environment.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati starting her direction at the inauguration ceremony for senior high-ranking officials (pejabat pimpinan tinggi pratama) in the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance, Ministry of Finance virtually in Mezzanine Hall of Djuanda I Building on Friday (17/07).

"I hope for all echelon 2 ranks, who today are appointed by the Secretary of the DJPK and the Director of Capacity and Implementation of DJPK Transfer and all officials within the DJPK to jointly formulate policies and instruments, to encourage local governments to become effective development agents and of course I hope to continue to innovate transfer instruments to the regions so that they can increase regional financial capacity reliably," stated the Minister.

The Minister of Finance also reminded all appointed officials to continue to hold the commitment to the oath and commitment to become leaders in the Ministry of Finance who truly reflect the values ​​of the Ministry of Finance, namely leaders that can be relied upon by subordinates and also leaders in the Ministry of Finance that the Indonesian people can rely on to manage state finances.
