State Budget 2019 Allocates Rp1.7 Trillion to Build 5 Super Priority Destinations

Jakarta, 11/09/2019 MoF - Vice Minister of Finance Mardiasmo explained the budget allocation given to 5 (five) Super Priority Destinations reached Rp1.7 trillion in the 2019 State Budget. The five priority super destinations are Lake Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, and Likupang.
He stated this statement at the Ministry of Tourism National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas Kemenpar) at Swissotel PIK Avenue on Tuesday (10/11).
In the event themed "Budgeting Policy in 5 Super Priority Destinations", the Vice Minister explained that the budget allocation for super priority destinations increased to reach Rp2.9 trillion spread across 6 ministries namely the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), The Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar), the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLH), the Ministry of Rural Development and Transmigration Areas (Kemendes PDTT) and the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf).
"(The budget) is divided into 6 ministries. The Ministry of Public Works (Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing) is always the biggest that builds physically. The MInistry of Tourism (Kemenpar) portion is divided into Lake Toba, Borobudur, and Labuan Bajo Authority Bodies," explained the Vice Minister.
In addition, the Vice Minister advised that the three Authority Agencies can work together with the local government (Pemda) to further improve the quality of tourism in the area.
"Every Ministry/Agencies (K/L) must be able to work together. Like a music orchestra into a melodious song. Hopefully, tourism in Indonesia will go advanced," he concluded. (mr/hpy/nr)
