Today, PLTU Batang is Expected to Reach Financial Close

Jakarta, 06/06/2016 MoF – Today (6/6), project of power plant (PLTU) Batang is expected to reach financial close. Ministry of Finance (MoF) and PT Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Fund (IIGF) as guarantor has issued a consent letter for all changes of power purchase agreement. From the information reported through the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) website, the project developer PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (PT BPI) is constructing roads for construction purposes and preparing construction equipment.

PT BPI also will perform five CSR activities, namely economic development, support for health care quality improvement, the education quality improvement, infrastructure support for public services and support for social, cultural, and environmental activities.

PLTU Batang 2 x 1000 MW is a joint project between the Government and Business Entities (KPBU) in which the agreement was first signed on October 6, 2011. The project uses ultra super critical technology with exhaust gas treatment systems to minimize emissions/dispersion so that environmentally friendly. Project worth more than IDR30 trillion acquired guarantee from the MoF and PT IIGF.  (as)
